This is just the stuff from guildwars right?

  • Yeah. Just copied it from the Guild Wars wiki. I like the layout and of course plan to change the page links as soon as we determine what they will be. BTW: make sure you sign ur name with this:-~~~~ which will create this: -atrizu 09:29, 3 November 2007 (MDT)
    • Yeah I forgot about the whole sig thing :). I was thinking that over the next 12 months or so we can start to gradually change how all the pages work and link so that it's easier to slap the new front page on.Penguin 09:51, 3 November 2007 (MDT)
      • Also, remember to add the asterisks to make it forum-ish for easy reading. The plan for what we want the site to end up as is this as the main page with nothing except what we(and other contributers) have experienced in-game. Just like any other online wiki/guide to an mmo. Also, there will still be interviews and stuff from the devs to put up stating stuff like future releases. Do you understand what I mean? -atrizu 15:56, 5 November 2007 (MST)
        • Yeah for sure. But there are things that we know will be in the game in advance such as certain planets, skills, archetypes that sort of thing. Penguin 19:12, 5 November 2007 (MST)
          • Thought I take all the guildwars specific references out of it and put in a few links. At some point in the next few months I think it would be interesting to offer this as an alternative portal into the information.Penguin 14:00, 7 November 2007 (MST)
            • Yeah good job with that. Yes we could offer it right away if we can get all of the current main page links to this new page. Only problem is that we either have to recollate all of the pages into more acceptable ones, or risk it looking less than appealing. I think it's best if we wait until we have more information. Maybe even until beta so we can get real info instead of relying only on what the devs have told us. -atrizu 14:48, 7 November 2007 (MST)
  • I was more thinking along the lines of like having it as a "beta" page that is linked to (and not especially conspicously) on the main page. Either that or merge the two into some sort of in between format. As far as beta goes, we'll be under an NDA though. I think it would be interesting to try and get a copy of the NDA in advance to work out what sort of collaborative effort we can put together so that we can get the information out there as soon as possible after the NDA is released. I mean, just to throw something out there, Is there a way that we can have a version wiki that is only editable (and viewable) by people that have beta keys. Then we can just switch that version live after the beta is lifted. Either that or we divy up the articles and editing individually by topic area amoungst people that are contributors here and in the beta test.
    • We need to start using email, heh. I actually really like the beta page idea. As far as dividing up the wiki, I don't believe it is possible to make one part of it secret and the other public. Maybe Myrddin will put up another for us when the beta comes out(assuming any of us get in) so that we can post our findings there.-atrizu 01:05, 8 November 2007 (MST)
