Registered users will have their user name publicly displayed with all edits they make. Your IP address will be logged by the server and is available to administrators and moderators for the purposes of monitoring vandalism and other cases of malicious editing. Cookies
Stargate Worlds Wiki uses cookies. You may deny cookies, but they will need to be enabled to log in. If you choose to let the site "remember you", your username and password will be stored in the cookie.
You may provide your e-mail address in your Preferences and enable other logged-in users to send email to you through the wiki. Your address will not be revealed to them unless you respond, or possibly if the email bounces. Your email may be used by Stargate Worlds Wiki to communicate with you.

Private Logging
Every time you visit a web page, you send a lot of information to the web server. Most web servers routinely maintain access logs with a portion of this information, which can be used to get an overall picture of what pages are popular, what other sites link to this one, and what web browsers people are using. It is not the intention of Stargate Worlds Wiki to use this information to keep track of legitimate users.
These logs are used to produce the site statistics and the raw log data is not made public, and is normally discarded.
Log data may be examined by administrators to solve technical issues. IP addresses of users, derived either from those logs or from records in the database may be used to to investigate abuse of the wiki.
Distribution of Information to third parties
Stargate Worlds Wiki will not knowingly provide, sell or otherwise distribute private information (such as email addresses) to third parties without the individual's prior consent or where we are required to by law.
