Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, a game development company, held a focus group spotlighting hard-core MMO gamers. Katie Postma, Cheyenne's Community Manager stated that "Gamers know what they want in an MMO. We chose intelligent, fun player of current, popular MMO's and asked the gamers to provide us with feedback. The suggestions and wish lists were an inspiration for the Cheyenne team, and we will strive to make all these gamers' wishes come true in Stargate Worlds. We think it's important to have a system where the players' needs are taken into consideration during the design process, not years later."
