Let's see.. my title is around here somewhere... ah yes... I'm Maxfield, Director of Information Technology. It's a big fancy name, but if you put 3D goggles on you'll note hidden by the message is "General Whipping Boy and Fix It Man". My job is trying to keep everyone who posted above me up and running day in, day out and day sunny side up. My big job is purchasing hardware, spec'ing out the architecture for the game servers and coordinating efforts with various vendors, publishers and more to keep our dev, art and design teams happy. In general, if its a device that gets chained to something with a Cat 5 cable in it, it's probably my responsibility.

I've spent 8 years as an IT Consultant building applications for all kinds of big name companies, most recently responsible for pre-production analysis of all online systems for a major telecomm. I've also spent the same 8 years deeply embedded in the MMORPG community, 6 years playing Everquest amongst almost every other game on the market.

My most recent addictions are Everquest II, Auto Assault, and WoW. Oh and somewhere along the way, for some bizarre reason, I've gotten addicted to Stargate! Working here is a dream come true, something I've been chasing since I played "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing". Nice to meet all you forumites!
