Post from Meet Your Development Team:
- "Hi, I’m Joe Ybarra, and they gave me the title of Vice President of Product Development. I’m one of the founders of CME, and one of the “grizzled old veterans” of our team.
- My passion for games has been lifelong, and I’ve had the pleasure of working on a whole lot of really fun and interesting games during my career. The best part of working on games is collaborating with the people that actually do the work. All I get to do is sign purchase orders, complain about the schedule, and kibitz on the game design. Everyone else gets to do the fun stuff. Sigh….
- Since joining CME I started playing Worlds of Warcraft and now have a level 60 female gnome warlock named SamCarter. I also had not seen any episodes of Stargate SG1 or Atlantis, and started watching from episode 1 sometime in September of last year. As of this writing I’m now on episode 15 of season 8 in SG1, and episode 9 of season 1 of Atlantis. That’s 176 episodes of Stargate; I’ve now seen more Stargate than any other TV show in my lifetime I only have 58 episode left to watch!!!
- And all this during my “spare time” after work.
- I also like professional sports, college basketball, golf (which I would actually like to play more often than once a year), reading, and fine dining.
- Last, if Stargate Worlds isn’t the best game ever built I guess it will be my fault. That’s why they gave me such a fancy title."
