Pat
- Abbr: Patrol. An enemy mob or group of mobs that follows a set patrol path. Often shouted as a warning to other members of a player's party.
PC
- Abbr: Player Character.
Pegasus
- Noun: The galaxy where Stargate Atlantis is set and possible setting for future expansion of Stargate Worlds.
PK
- Abbr: Player Killing, an activity often central but not necessary to Player vs Player combat.
Pk'er
- Abbr: Player Killer. Used as a derogatory term by people who prefer Player vs Environment play. Often used in the same sense as griefer.
POO(symbol)
- Noun: Abbreviation for Point of Origin Symbol. Every Stargate address is made up of 6 symbol plus the Point of Origin symbol. The POO is unique to every Stargate/DHD.
Port
- Abbr: Teleport.
Power Level
- Noun: Gaining experience points at a very high rate in order to get to maximum level as fast as possible. Power levelling is done at the expense of all other gameplay. Also refers to higher level characters helping low level characters level quickly, though most modern games have systems in place to prevent this.
Proc
- Abbr: Programmed Random OCcurance. Refers to increased damage or other benefits that occur randomly when a weapon or spell strikes or an item is used.
Prometheus
- Noun: The first capital space ship built by the United States Earth, incorporates both Goa'uld and human technology.
PuG
- Abbr: Pick up Group. A group formed on the spot for a quest, dungeon or PvP.
Pull
- Verb: To lure a single mob or group of mobs to a more tactically favourable location for combat. This is usually an area safe from spawning or patrolling mobs.
PvE
- Abbr: Player vs Environment. The environment refers to all computer controlled mobs in the world and PvE refers to combat with those mobs. Used by some to refer to all non PvP aspects of a game.
PvP
- Abbr: Player vs Player. Either refers to player killing or to other activities centred around a group of players battling with another group of players.
Pwn
- Abbr: See Own.
