Camping
- Verb: Waiting in a certain area to kill a particular mob or player character. The term is often used with negative connotations.
Chapa'i
- Noun: Goa'uld word for the Stargate.
Chevron
- Noun: Part of the Stargate. Chevrons lock into position and light up when addressed are being entered on the DHD (or dialling computer) or when an offword wormhole is established.
Clan
- Noun: Group of people banded together to play a game. In SGW clans are called Commands
Class
- Noun: There is no rigid definition, but refers to the type of character a player chooses at the beginning of the game. Stargate Worlds will use archetypes, which are similar to classes.
CME
- Noun: Abbreviation for Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, the Company that is producing Stargate Worlds, the upcoming MMORPG.
Corpse
- Noun: When a player dies their corpse is generally left on the ground at the point they died. Depending on the MMORPG all or some of their items and money may be left with the corpse. Character revival varies depending on the MMORPG.
Corpse Run
- Noun: The act of returning to your corpse after you have died.
Crafting
- Noun: A category of abilities that allow players to manufacture items from raw materials.
- Verb: Manufacturing items from raw materials.
Crit
- Noun: Abbrevaition for critical strike or hit. A strike or hit that causes more damage than normal, the increase generally being between 150-250%.
Crowd Control
- Verb: Stunning or paralyzing enemies to reduce the number that need to be fought.
Crystal
- Noun: The basis of most alien technology. Different crystals have different functions, including data storage, data processors, energy storage, weapon components etc.
