Stargate Worlds is in the Production Phase. Therefore, any information on this wiki (including the information in the developer quotes) cannot be taken as concrete facts, and may still change. |
What is an MMORPG without enemies to kill? Stargate Worlds will have plenty of creatures to fight and interact with. The vast majority of enemies will possess some intelligence and act like it.[1] Players will need to use tactics in order to defeat these MOBS. CME has the rights to all characters and creatures from the show, and many of them will be appearing in the game. In addition, without the constraints of a TV production, CME will be introducing new enemies never before seen in the series.[2]
As the game will be story-driven, there will be many NPCs to interact with, but the players will remain the heroes of the game.[1]
Most of the enemies, especially at the start, will be NPC humanoids. At the end, there will also be some enemies, who won't all be human(oids). Players won't be engaging a lot of creatures.[3] At least Kull warriors will be in the game as mobs.[4]
[edit] Main Enemies
Stargate Worlds will play host to "a very old villain and a very new villain combining forces". [5] This 'Big Bad' will try to take over the galaxy.[6]
[edit] Enemy Mechanics
Different enemies have different 'AI Packages'. Depending on the package the enemy has, it will use different tactics on the player. There will also be some variations on how the enemy will use those tactics, so do not expect to see the same reaction every time.[7]
